1985-1995 – Sussex County Board of Supervisors

2005-Present – Virginia General Assembly, Representing the 75th District

B.S. Physical Therapy – Old Dominion University

M.S. Education – Virginia State University

Advanced Studies in Physical Therapy – Virginia Commonwealth University

Physical Therapy and Clinical Coordinator at Southern Regional Medical Center

Appointed to the Health Reform Commission by Governor Tim Kaine

Member of the National & Virginia Physical Therapy Association

Former member of John Tyler Community College Board 

Vice Chairman of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus, Appointed to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission
